All products sold by Care Necessities are guaranteed against faulty workmanship or materials for 12 months from the date of delivery.

 

Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely happy with the goods you have purchased, you may return them to us by contacting our Customer Service Team on 0330 100 1900.

 
• Goods must be returned within 10 working days of delivery
• Please quote the invoice number
• We reserve the right to make a 20% restocking charge to meet inspection and repacking costs.
 
 
Cancellation rights

Under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of delivery.  You must inform us that you want to cancel in writing (email) and provide a proof of postage receipt showing you have returned the goods which should be undamaged, unused and in original packaging to obtain a full refund. Goods are returned at your cost. 

 

When can I NOT cancel/return?

You will not be able to cancel or return goods if:-

  • the goods were made to your specifications or are personalised to you;
  • the goods cannot be returned by reason of their nature (for instance you have opened or used any sling or toileting or bathing aid) or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • the goods have been opened and no longer sealed as initially despatched;
  • the goods are damaged or marked in any way or have unreasonable wear or are otherwise not in a condition consistent with your having taken reasonable care of them;
  • the goods are in a condition such that they cannot reasonably be re-sold at all or for more than 80% of their original value;
  • you are not able to return the goods with all packaging, contents, documents, and other items supplied with or as part of the goods, including any free gifts; or
  • you sell, transfer, hire or lend the goods or give ownership of the goods to any other person.

 

 

Sling Returns Policy and Regulations

 

MHRA & The Medical Devices Regulations 2002

 

In order to comply with MHRA and Government legislation relating to returning contaminated devices, in respect of returning previously supplied slings to us that may require review, repair and/or inspection.

 

Under a duty of care act you are no longer able to send a potentially contaminated product through the postal system to us.

 

In simple terms, it is illegal to send contaminated slings through the post. If you require further information relation to this, full details of the legislation can be obtained from the MHRA, Documents DB2011(01) and DB2006(05) and The Medical Devices Regulations

2002.

 

In view of this, you it will no longer be possible to return ANY sling to us for review etc. unless the following procedure is observed and the correct forms of documentation and carriage are arranged (at your own cost).

 

PROCEDURE FOR RETURNING SLINGS

 

1. Contact Care Necessities on 0330 100 1900

2. Advise Care Necessities that you wish to return a sling. A Declaration of Contamination Status form can be downloaded direct from our website, can be posted, faxed or emailed to you, whichever is most convenient for you.

 

3. Once the Declaration of Contamination Status Form is completed and returned to us, we will contact the manufacturer who will issue a DCS Returns number if it is agreed by the manufacturer that the sling can be returned. We will advise you immediately if this is not possible and it will then be for you to decide the most appropriate manner in which to dispose of your sling.

 

4. Once we have accepted that the sling can be returned:

NB: If the returns number is not stated on the exterior of the package, there is a possibility the package may be incinerated unopened and a charge may apply for incineration.
